WFM helping wounded ex-marine's housing hopes come true

Window Fitters Mate (WFM), are helping a wounded war hero's housing hopes become a reality, after pledging to donate windows and doors for his specially adapted bungalow.  The donation comes after Noel Edmonds campaigned for ex-marine Joe Townsend, on his 'Noel's HQ' show on Sky1.

Joe tragically lost both his legs whilst serving in Afghanistan and hoped to live in a specially designed bungalow on his Grandparents' land.  After council planning approval was turned down, 'Noel's HQ' triggered a national campaign for Joe, which fostered huge support and reversed this decision.  WFM offered their support by generously pledging their market-leading windows and doors and professional expertise for free.

Clare O'Hara, Director, WFM, commented, 'This was an appeal which was at the heart of the Nation and of WFM.  It's to people like Joe whom we owe huge gratitude, so it was nice for us to be able to give something back.  Once we heard about his appeal on 'Noel's HQ' we didn't hesitate to pledge all the help we could offer. WFM is looking forward to helping Joe's desperately needed home become a reality.'

WFM, a SIG Roofline and Building Products company, is one of the leading suppliers of windows and window products to the Window, Roofline and Building Industry.  The announcement of WFM's donation, along with several others came live on 'Noel's HQ', which was attended by WFM representatives.  Joe and Joe's family were reported to be over-the-moon.
