We suffer from condensation; will installing double glazing cure or prevent this?

Condensation is quite a common problem.  It occurs when water vapour comes in to contact with a cold surface.  The vapour condenses on the cooler surface of the glass causing a ‘foggy’ affect.  Double glazed units have a warmer surface so this will reduce condensation. However condensation indicates excessive humidity so while double glazed units will help reduce condensation the cause of the problem should still be addressed.  Humidity can be reduced in a number of ways; some a simple as adding additional ventilation such as extractor fans or trickle vents in kitchens and bathrooms.

Will double glazing help reduce external noise pollution in my house?

Yes, double glazed units not only provide weather insulation but will also insulate against nose; considerably reducing the amount of noise pollution when installed.
